Funny Videos - Something funny to brighten your day.

If Jackie Chan was a drummer I have no doubt this is what his performance would look like. This clip was originally part of a program on Korea recorded by Toronto MTV in August 1990 where Korean singer named Jeong Ae-ri and band members performed at Toronto MTV’s studio. The very bored looking Ae-ri obviously has no idea of the show stealing antics happening behind her.

The drummer bangs his head like a hard rocker and jumps up and down, passionately pounds on the drums sporting a Korean flag-shaped sticker. His uninhibited playing steals the show and he upstages the guitarist, keyboardist and female singer.

This vintage TV footage titled "Korean drummer steals the show" became an instant hit on YouTube. The energetic drummer, who gives a unique touch to the footage is Gwon Sun-geun.

According to Gwon, 67, who has since migrated to Toronto, Canada, he debuted as a drummer of Sky Band, a band that used to play on a U.S. Army base stationed in Korea in 1960, and later played with famous Korean singer Shin Joong-hyun for four years from 1964. He moved to Toronto in 1975 with his wife and children. He now plays for the Korean community and teaches drum class in Toronto.

Sharing a spliff with Jesus

June 21st 2008 14:42
A very funny video from the old Lawrence Welk Show of the lovely down-home couple, Gail Farrell from Oklahoma and Dick Dale from Iowa. A very clean cut pair singing about getting 'One toke over the line'. They thought it was a gospel song and not about sharing a spliff with Jesus?

This song is about drugs, especially marijuana. A "Toke" is a puff from a marijuana cigarette or pipe. This got it banned from many radio stations.
Mike Brewer and Tom Shipley were Folk singers in Los Angeles. and this was their only hit.
Brewer and Shipley were playing this at a party, making up the words as they went along and letting anyone else sing along, when an executive from their record company heard it and insisted they release it as their next single. Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead was brought in as a session musician and played steel guitar on this.

This appears on numerous compilation albums, making its way onto albums with songs about drugs, hits of the '70s, and one hit wonders. It remains a major source of income for Brewer and Shipley.

And then onto the lovely Dick and Gail singing it as wholesomely as if they were singing about home-baked bread.

It's good for a giggle...especially if you ARE one toke over the line.
