So long. Farewell

May 18th 2009 06:05
Hi all, I will no longer be posting from this site so it is up for grabs. It has numerous subscribers and a good hit rate. For someone who can spend the time on it, it's a great little blog.

I don't have the time to maintain it any more and I can't give it the attention it deserves so I am concentrating on just a couple of blogs now.

Thanks for all the readers and viewers who have supported the blog since I took it over.

Cheers

Cheryl J

The Horror of The Lion King - Be Afraid

November 9th 2008 07:18
And they say The Lion King is for children. It looks like a horror/thriller to me...but then it all depends on how you look at it. Yet another trailer, not unlike Scary Poppins, to show, it's all in the way you edit it.

If all movies had mobile phones...

October 21st 2008 08:48
Don't you find it annoying that nobody in movies ever has a mobile when they need one? I mean seriously, almost everyone in the free world has a mobile.

Amazing how a little bit of editing, a change in music and a spiel from 'voice over guy' can completely change the meaning of a film preview clip. Kiddy hijinks to horror, horror to romantic comedy and the there is Harry Potter...

Chad Vader

November 22nd 2006 04:01
Chad Vader is a fan film series by Blame Society Productions that has gained popularity on the Internet, particularly through viewings on YouTube. The first episode has been viewed over two million times. Currently there are four episodes, each between five and six minutes long, written and directed by Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda.

The storyline centres on Chad Vader, the less-famous brother of Darth Vader, who works (at first) as a day-shift manager at a supermarket named Empire Market. It presents Chad's clashes with customers and other employees, especially Clint, the night-shift manager. Chad is also infatuated with Clarissa, one of the grocery store's check-out girls. Chad makes frequent references to dialogue and concepts from the Star Wars films in the context of a modern-day grocery store

Office Space Spoof Trailers

November 13th 2006 03:17
Office Space is a 1999 comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. Though it pokes fun at work life in a typical software company during the late 1990s, the film resonates with corporate employees as a group, by portraying individuals who are entirely fed up with their jobs.

Recently people have been recutting the trailer for Office Space, making it look like anything from a melodrama to a slasher film

Borat -The first 4 minutes of his Movie

October 25th 2006 08:32
Borat Sagdiyev, is another character by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen who some beleive to be his best yet. He is a Kazakhstani journalist and the almost complete lack of knowledge about Kazakhstan and its culture among typical westerners gives Borat's character license to do whatever he wants; the people Borat interacts with are often extremely afraid of offending him by being intolerant of what they perceive to be cultural differences. The results are very funny.
Of course Borat has a movie entitled "Borat: Cultural Learnings from America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" which will be released world wide next month. Lucky you for, here the first 4 minutes of the movie for everyone to enjoy!!

Movie Mistakes & Bloopers

October 5th 2006 07:36
Every movie has some mistakes, goofs or bloopers and most of them go unnoticed by the general public at the first viewing. However, some movie buffs spot the mistakes and take the time to point them out so the rest of us are informed.

Firstly, here are some of the more popular mistakes in Star Wars

Star Wars Kid

August 8th 2006 05:38
The Star Wars Kid is a 15-year-old from Quebec known only as Ghyslain, his parents are keeping his last name secret to protect his identity. Back in November 2002, Ghyslain was goofing off at a school video studio and recorded himself fighting a mock battle with a broomstick lightsaber. Over two minutes, the video shows the lone, overweight teenager twirling his mock lightsaber ever faster while making his own accompanying sound effects.
Yes, we've all had our dorky, private moments, but this poor kid is living the nightmare of having his private dorkiness projected across the world to giggling Web users. His friends found the tape, and uploaded it to KaZaA as a joke on April 19.
