Chad Vader

November 22nd 2006 04:01
Chad Vader is a fan film series by Blame Society Productions that has gained popularity on the Internet, particularly through viewings on YouTube. The first episode has been viewed over two million times. Currently there are four episodes, each between five and six minutes long, written and directed by Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda.

The storyline centres on Chad Vader, the less-famous brother of Darth Vader, who works (at first) as a day-shift manager at a supermarket named Empire Market. It presents Chad's clashes with customers and other employees, especially Clint, the night-shift manager. Chad is also infatuated with Clarissa, one of the grocery store's check-out girls. Chad makes frequent references to dialogue and concepts from the Star Wars films in the context of a modern-day grocery store.

All four episodes are below in order:

Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3

Episode 4

A video was released on Myspace in which Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda said that the series would continue with an Episode 5. They did not release any details about the episode itself, though they said that they "read every comment" and were open to suggestions.

Office Space Spoof Trailers

November 13th 2006 03:17
Office Space is a 1999 comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. Though it pokes fun at work life in a typical software company during the late 1990s, the film resonates with corporate employees as a group, by portraying individuals who are entirely fed up with their jobs.

Recently people have been recutting the trailer for Office Space, making it look like anything from a melodrama to a slasher film.

The first example below was directed by WhatTheMaynard who says "We recut "Office Space" into a slasher/thriller trailer. Seems like someone took one too many staplers from Milton..."

Next is Office Space the drama.

Finally, here is the Office Space Trailer recut as a thriller.

Borat -The first 4 minutes of his Movie

October 25th 2006 08:32
Borat Sagdiyev, is another character by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen who some beleive to be his best yet. He is a Kazakhstani journalist and the almost complete lack of knowledge about Kazakhstan and its culture among typical westerners gives Borat's character license to do whatever he wants; the people Borat interacts with are often extremely afraid of offending him by being intolerant of what they perceive to be cultural differences. The results are very funny.
Of course Borat has a movie entitled "Borat: Cultural Learnings from America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" which will be released world wide next month. Lucky you for, here the first 4 minutes of the movie for everyone to enjoy!!

Movie Mistakes & Bloopers

October 5th 2006 07:36
Every movie has some mistakes, goofs or bloopers and most of them go unnoticed by the general public at the first viewing. However, some movie buffs spot the mistakes and take the time to point them out so the rest of us are informed.

Firstly, here are some of the more popular mistakes in Star Wars.

Here is everything that hasn't made sense in a Bond film - well almost.

Star Wars Kid

August 8th 2006 05:38
The Star Wars Kid is a 15-year-old from Quebec known only as Ghyslain, his parents are keeping his last name secret to protect his identity. Back in November 2002, Ghyslain was goofing off at a school video studio and recorded himself fighting a mock battle with a broomstick lightsaber. Over two minutes, the video shows the lone, overweight teenager twirling his mock lightsaber ever faster while making his own accompanying sound effects.
Yes, we've all had our dorky, private moments, but this poor kid is living the nightmare of having his private dorkiness projected across the world to giggling Web users. His friends found the tape, and uploaded it to KaZaA as a joke on April 19.

Within two weeks, someone had added full Star Wars special effects and noises to the tape, and the video was linked on gaming, technology, and Star Wars-related sites across the Internet.

Here are a couple more Star Wars clips unrelated to the Star Wars Kid. Firstly we have a great Star Wars animated clip.

Finally, we have a clip from Conan O'Brien with Triumph the dog harassing Star Wars geeks as they line up for the premiere of "Attack of the Clones".
