Tricks With Your Eyes

October 27th 2006 04:25
Some people like those you will see below have amazing abilities with their eyes. The only question I have is how do you learn you have these abilities in the first place?

Squirting milk from your eyes is a very popular trick. The world record is 8ft 7 in. This guy below shows how it can be done.

This gentlemen's ability will beat milk squirting any day. Imagine been able to smoke through your eyes!!

Finally, wouldn't it be great to be able to protrude your eyeballs out of your scull? The lady below is the long time world record holder in eye popping, she can protrude them over 13mm!

Sport or Speed Stacking

October 18th 2006 06:45
Sport stacking, also known as speed stacking or cup stacking is an individual and team activity played using plastic cups. It originated in the early 1980's in southern California.

Participants of sport stacking stack and unstack cups in pre-determined sequences, competing against the clock or another player. Sequences are usually pyramids of three, six or ten upside-down cups.

Tournaments are governed by the World Sport Stacking Association. In 2004, the Association changed the activity's name from cup stacking to sport stacking to give it "immediate identification as a competitive sport."

Sport Stacking can be done with specially designed cups only, because otherwise the cups would stick together. Made of durable plastic, they have holes in the bottom to allow air to pass through quickly when stacking the cups together and are designed so they can be quickly separated from each other when stacked.

There are different types of stacks that are performed in competition, the most complicated and popular is called the Cycle Stack. It entails a sequence which includes, in order: a 3-6-3 stack, a 6-6 stack, and a 1-10-1 stack, finishing in a down stacked 3-6-3. The world record for the fastest cycle stack is 7.43 seconds, completed by Emily Fox.

When people are performing sport stacking it looks like the vision has been sped up. The clip below shows some footage from the 2004 world speed stacking championships, it also features Emily Fox and I promise you it is in real time!

This next clip is Chris Hardwick. He can do it in 10.23 seconds.

This guy does it in 9.05 seconds.

Dance Dance Revolution

October 6th 2006 05:26
Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR (known as Dancing Stage in Europe), is a music video game series produced by Konami. It was first introduced to Japanese video arcades in 1998. Since then, the game has gained significant popularity elsewhere in the world, including North America, Europe and Australia. As of 2005, over 90 official versions have been produced, including those for home video game consoles.

The game is typically played on a dance pad with four arrow panels: left, down, up, and right. These panels are pressed using the player's feet, in response to arrows that appear on the screen in front of the player. The arrows are synchronized to the general rhythm or beat of a chosen song, and success is dependent on the player's ability to time and position his or her steps accordingly.

This first clip shows you that anybody can be a DDR pro.

Here is a 5 year old having a go at DDR, he is actually better than most! Goes to show you're never too young to start.

This guy is supposed to be a DDR master, as he chooses to freestyle on the DDR pad.

Jet Packs

August 18th 2006 04:34
Rocket belt, rocketpack, jetpack, and similar names, are various types of devices, usually worn on the back, that use jets of escaping gases to allow the user to fly. Working jet packs have been around since the 1950's. In fact a working Jet pack was used in the 1965 James Bond movie Thunderball.

Below is a more recent demonstration of a working Jet Pack.

Here we have a Japanese man using a makeshift Jet Pack which uses compressed air in water bottles for propulsion. Very effective.

Finally, here is another example of what you can do with a Jet Pack.

Capoeira

July 7th 2006 06:25
Capoeira or Capoera is an Afro-Brazilian martial art developed initially by African slaves in Africa, moving to Brazil, starting in the colonial period. It is marked by deft, tricky movements often played on the ground or completely inverted. It also has a strong acrobatic component in some versions and is always played with music.
Capoeira does not focus on injuring the opponent. Rather, it emphasizes more skill.
Below is a video of Capoeira being practiced and perfomed.
