Nunchuk Ping Pong - Bruce Lee

November 30th 2008 10:11
Great new ad series with Bruce Lee lookalike performing amazing work with nunchuks. In the first video he is playing the most awesome game of table tennis you're ever likely to see and in the second he lighting matches with them - one in a guy's mouth!

This was part of a series of Chinese adverts for the Nokia N96. Absolutely brilliant!

Squeeze Theeze Pleeze

October 8th 2008 11:44
Take a look at Squeeze Theeze Pleeze in an unforgettable performance that proves you should always watch your footing while lip synching.

Did somebody say ouch?

Who are they you ask? They are a Portuguese boy band who are apparently quite big in Germany...but so is Hoff - 'nuff said.

By the way, the singer swears he was singing the whole time and was NOT lip synching. Yes and there does that flying pig again.

Sharing a spliff with Jesus

June 21st 2008 14:42
A very funny video from the old Lawrence Welk Show of the lovely down-home couple, Gail Farrell from Oklahoma and Dick Dale from Iowa. A very clean cut pair singing about getting 'One toke over the line'. They thought it was a gospel song and not about sharing a spliff with Jesus?

Images: Lawrence Welk and e-stoned.com

This song is about drugs, especially marijuana. A "Toke" is a puff from a marijuana cigarette or pipe. This got it banned from many radio stations.
Mike Brewer and Tom Shipley were Folk singers in Los Angeles. and this was their only hit.
Brewer and Shipley were playing this at a party, making up the words as they went along and letting anyone else sing along, when an executive from their record company heard it and insisted they release it as their next single. Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead was brought in as a session musician and played steel guitar on this.

This appears on numerous compilation albums, making its way onto albums with songs about drugs, hits of the '70s, and one hit wonders. It remains a major source of income for Brewer and Shipley.

And then onto the lovely Dick and Gail singing it as wholesomely as if they were singing about home-baked bread.

It's good for a giggle...especially if you ARE one toke over the line.

Faith Hill at the 2006 CMA Awards

November 9th 2006 01:55
Audrey Faith Perry McGraw, best known as Faith Hill (born September 21, 1967 in Jackson, Mississippi), is an American country singer, known for her commercial success as well as her marriage to country singer Tim McGraw.

Faith Hill made entertainment news headlines when she appeared to react angrily to losing the "Female Vocalist of the Year" award to Carrie Underwood at the 2006 CMA Awards.

Hill, who was backstage at the time, could be seen throwing both hands in the air, saying "What?!" and then stomping away from the camera.

The clip has been all over the internet for the last couple of days. This first clip has the entire award presentation.

Here you can also see a close-up of Faith's reaction to loosing.

Hill claimed that her reaction was a joke, saying in a statement, "The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention, given the talent gathered, is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving female vocalist of the year."

No matter what you believe, this is a good example of what not to do if you don't win an award, done in jest or not.

Paris Hilton seems to be in the newspapers, television and magazines all the time. She is without doubt one the most over exposed celebrities of all time, and most people are probably sick of hearing about her.

Well, here is the lighter side of Paris Hilton, this first clip has Paris taking the piss out of herself, showing she does have a sense of humour
