Double Jointed

November 24th 2006 04:36
Double-jointedness, also called hypermobility, hypermobility syndrome or hyperlaxity describes joints that stretch further than is normal.

Hypermobility generally results from one or more of the following:

• abnormally-shaped ends of one or more bones at a joint
• weak or stretched ligaments
• low muscle tone
• abnormal joint proprioception (an impaired ability to determine where in space parts of the body are, and how stretched a joint is)

The condition tends to run in families, suggesting that there may be a genetic basis for at least some forms of hypermobility.

The guy below is double-jointed, as this video he uploaded to YouTube demonstrates.

Here is the information he uploaded with it, "Yea im double jointed in alot parts of my body and idk i found out some of the weird stuff i can do decided to record it and yea...im not really proud of it so i wore some weird mask i found in my room....enjoy"

Bank of America is the largest commercial bank in the United States. It is also now the largest issuer of credit, debit and prepaid cards in the world.

This is what happened at a Bank of America meeting, with a cover of U2's "One" with the lyrics changed to Bank of America propaganda being performed by a marketing executive. This was done as a "reward" to some employees.
You would swear this was straight out of an episode of "The Office". All that's missing is Ricky Gervais singing the chorus.

Evidently this sort of thing happens all the time at Bank of America. I'm glad I don't work there I think I would puke.

Chad Vader

November 22nd 2006 04:01
Chad Vader is a fan film series by Blame Society Productions that has gained popularity on the Internet, particularly through viewings on YouTube. The first episode has been viewed over two million times. Currently there are four episodes, each between five and six minutes long, written and directed by Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda.

The storyline centres on Chad Vader, the less-famous brother of Darth Vader, who works (at first) as a day-shift manager at a supermarket named Empire Market. It presents Chad's clashes with customers and other employees, especially Clint, the night-shift manager. Chad is also infatuated with Clarissa, one of the grocery store's check-out girls. Chad makes frequent references to dialogue and concepts from the Star Wars films in the context of a modern-day grocery store.

All four episodes are below in order:

Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3

Episode 4

A video was released on Myspace in which Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda said that the series would continue with an Episode 5. They did not release any details about the episode itself, though they said that they "read every comment" and were open to suggestions.

Kiwi

November 20th 2006 06:38
This clip was uploaded to YouTube by Madyeti47 with the following information:

"My Master's Thesis Animation, which I completed while I was at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Created using Maya, After Effects, and rigged using The Setup Machine by Anzovin studios. If you would like to download there is a small version at my website: www.donysanimation.com"

"Alot of people have been emailing me asking a whole lot of questions. Maybe you can find some answers here"

The information below from the above mentioned website:
""Kiwi!" is an animation about a Kiwi - a type of bird that cannot fly, who spends its whole life working towards achieving his dream. The kiwi strived to create the illusion that it was flying over a forest as it soared down through the sky from the top of a cliff. Thus, the kiwi spent what must have been its whole life nailing trees to the side of a cliff. All this, to fulfil its one dream of flying, even though it was technically unable to. There are several powerful messages behind Kiwi, but mainly, it makes you think: no matter how absurd and seemingly out of reach your dreams are, what's stopping you from achieving them?"

Robot Chicken

November 15th 2006 00:55
Robot Chicken is an American stop motion animated television series created by Stoop!d Monkey and Sony Pictures Digital, currently airing in America as a part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup, in Britain, the Bravo's Adult Swim lineup, and in Canada on Teletoon's Detour nightly adult programming. Seth Green and Matthew Senreich are the creators and executive producers of the show. They are also on the writing team, provide the majority of voices, and have even directed a few episodes.

Robot Chicken is a variety show that parodies a number of pop culture conventions using stop motion animation of toys, action figures, dolls, and claymation and various other objects, such as tongue depressers. The show's name was inspired by a dish on the menu at a Chinese restaurant where Green and Senreich had dined

Unnecessary Censorship

November 14th 2006 04:29
On Fridays during Jimmy Kimmel Live there is a segment called This Week in Unnecessary Censorship, a parody on the FCC's censorship rules, where TV clips are unnecessarily bleeped and blurred. Clips from news or events during the week will have a nominally inoffensive word or phrase bleeped and the mouths blurred in a way that makes it sound/look like the person in the clip had issued a profanity. Another similar obfuscation makes a wave to a crowd look like an inappropriate gesture, or blurring areas in where private parts are as if they were exposing themselves or nude.

The clips below give a couple of examples of what the segment is about

Office Space Spoof Trailers

November 13th 2006 03:17
Office Space is a 1999 comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. Though it pokes fun at work life in a typical software company during the late 1990s, the film resonates with corporate employees as a group, by portraying individuals who are entirely fed up with their jobs.

Recently people have been recutting the trailer for Office Space, making it look like anything from a melodrama to a slasher film
